Switching from Stripe Standard to Semble Pay

This article is for you if you are currently integrated with Stripe Standard and would like to move over to Semble Pay.

Switching from Stripe Standard to Semble Pay is quick and simple. Your existing payment workflow will stay exactly the same, but you’ll unlock exclusive new features like built-in refunds, new payment options such as Google Pay, Apple Pay and Buy Now, Pay Later options—all fully integrated into Semble. 

If you are currently integrated with Stripe Standard, your integrations settings will look like the below:

We understand moving card data might sound daunting, but don’t worry—it’s just 4 steps.  

Here’s everything you need to know:

🔄 Why Do I Need to Move My Account? 

To switch to Semble Pay, your payment records need to move from your old account to the new Semble Pay system. This ensures everything stays linked to your patient records and workflows—without any changes to how you work 


:alarm_clock: When’s the best time to switch?

To avoid any disruption to payments while the switch to Semble Pay is being processed, we recommend doing the transfer:

First thing in the morning
At lunchtime
At the end of the day

This way, you’re not taking payments from patients while the switch is being finalised. You can start accepting payments immediately once we’ve enabled your new account.


How to switch in 4 easy steps 

If you’re already using an integrated payment solution such as Stripe Standard, you can switch to Semble Pay yourself in just 4 simple steps. Your workflows stay the same, but you’ll gain access to new, exclusive features all fully integrated into Semble. 

Step 1: Copy Your Customers from Stripe 

An Admin of your original Stripe account will need to log-in to your Stripe dashboard and navigate to the ‘customers’ tab.

Select ‘Copy’ and then ‘Copy all customers’.

Step 2: Transfer Data to Semble Pay 

Paste the copied customer data into Semble Pay using this Account ID: acct_1AlaEGIQhnkACvAM 

Step 3: Confirm the transfer request when prompted 

The below will be displayed once the request has been created.

Step 4: Notify Semble to complete the switch 

Email our friendly team at accountmanagement@semble.io or your account manager directly to accept the transfer to Semble once your request has been created.

🔔 Important: The transfer takes up to 72 hours. Any new cards added to Stripe during this time won’t be included—so if needed, add them manually after the switch. 

Our team will complete the final step and enable your Semble Pay account.


Integrating with Semble Pay

Once you have switched over to Semble Pay, you can log in to your new account using the instructions below to set up Semble Pay in 5 minutes.

1. Go to "Settings"

2. Click on "Integrations" and scroll down until you see "Semble Pay"

3. Click "Connect with Semble Pay".


Enter an email address: If you have used Stripe in the past, kindly make sure that you do not use the same email address you have used with Stripe in the past), then click "Continue".



Note: If after you click "Continue" the system asks you for your password, this signals that the email address you are using has been used with Stripe before, please go back one step and use a completely new email address.

You will then be asked for a mobile number:

The next section will deal with basic details for your business:

You will then be asked to verify personal details:

As well as professional details:

Then you will be asked to add your bank account details:

As well as your public details as they will appear for customers:

Finally, you will be asked to review all your details and agree to proceed:

Upon return to Semble, you will see "Disconnect from Semble Pay" which confirms that you have successfully integrated with Semble Pay.

NOTE: If you wish to disconnect your Semble Pay integration or revert back to Stripe, please contact accountmanagement@semble.io or reach out to your account manager directly before proceeding with any actions. Our team will ensure a smooth disconnection process.
